Mattwaj Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 hi yall, just wondering what tool i shoul buy. not looking to get into hardcore modding. just want to be able to change straps etc? Cheers Matt
redwatch Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 Check out Offshore's shop: watchbitz. Lots of good quality, very well priced tools over there.
VesperMatt Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 +1 to WatchBitz, both of you being in Australia should make it a no brainer. If NATOs are among the straps you're interested in getting into, Gnomon also gives you a free springbar tool with a minimum order.
narcoden Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 I picked up a watch tool kit from Harbor Freight by my house for like $5 on sale. Came with a case back opener, screw drivers, magnifier, some kind of strap tool that can remove spring loaded pins and a pin pusher and some tweezers all in a cheap plastic carry case. works great!Maybe I can post links now? http://www.harborfreight.com/8-piece-watch-repair-kit-91622.html
wat44 Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 the cheap stuff will break and then you will buy something better... so better off in the long run buying the very reasonably priced kit from Watchbitz - I have had mine for a year or two and its great
