dubmood Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 Hello fellow RWG:ers. I've got a quick question -- since Mary can't respond to my e-mails because of a small "vacation" she has, I'll ask you guys. I've bought the Rolex Submariner and I've gotten it, but I'm wondering is it water-proof? Watch spec.: MOVEMENT: Swiss ETA 2836-2 CASE DIAMETER: 40mm THICKNESS: 12mm DIAL COLOR: Black Dial CASE MATERIAL: Solid 316L Stainless Steel BRACELET: Solid 316L Stainless Steel FRONT GLASS: Sapphire Glass BACK GLASS: Solid case back with hologram BEZEL: Black Uni-directional Black bezel (120 clicks bezel) CLASP TYPE: Flip Lock DATE INDICATOR: At 3:00 position Thanks in advance!
hiker01 Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 Remove the case back and grease the o-ring. Since you have it open, remove the crown and grease the crown and tube o-rings. Put them back and check that The crystal is well setted. If it is, then have it pressure tested up to 10atm if you can, if it pass......go swim with it! My experience with Rolex reps....they are always good for swimming after greasing, except the Daytonas! The only leak I experienced is wt a GMT iic, but it was due to improperly Setted crystal. Good luck.
Jkay Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 All replica watches suffer from bad quality control. We can not tell you if your watch is waterproof .. no one can!! What if the assembly guy at the factory forgot to put in your rubber O rings?? No one knows.. you have to check for yourself. That is the only way to tell.
FxrAndy Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 Ditto have i check before you get it wet, even if the dealer prommises it is i would still get it checked
TeeJay Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 As above, check it first, but chances are it will be fine
dubmood Posted September 2, 2011 Author Report Posted September 2, 2011 Alright thanks for the replies
