Puretime worries?

Hi all , just wondered if anyone else has had any problems with puretime , i'm stuck what to do as Angus just does not fill me full of confidence.

My issue so far is this is my second purchase from puretime the first was perfect!!! Second not so great , after the giving the thumbs up from the quality photos the watch came in about a week , but horror the bracelet was deeply pitted and the quality of this watch seemed poor i.e loose bezel and blue lume markers and green hands and pearl!! As there are many versions of the Rolex SDDS on offer and me buying the $388 version thought maybe the wrong one was sent , so now Nikki Chen asks if i could take the watch to a local jeweller to repair??? My concerns start here!! So i sent the watch back with the return form filled in stating clearly the problems and noting not to send back the same watch. Just over two weeks later parcel came , opened to my disgust the same watch wrapped in the plastic film!!!

So now the firm emails start and Angus replies saying that he will personally take care of this and that Nikki is not as good as him? Also asking for my paypal id so he can pay back the postage for its second return , so i did and thats where i stand still , 4 Weeks later no refund for postage , have tracked the parcel its still sitting in China at the post office they have tried once to deliver but no one there to sign for it and if after a further attemp it will be returned YET again!! Angus has replied a few times and still asks what the problem with the watch is which is making me furious.

This seems to be a re-occurring theme on several boards....I personally for the first time had a issue with Josh...bought a full monty 16750 EXP II that was supposed to have all the case engravings w/M serial, SEL's marked...the watch had NONE...the watch works and performs great but based one the watch I chose from his site it was supposed to have all the above. I repeatedly asked him, after dealing with him w/o issue for 5 years and all I got was, "if you do not accpet watch, please return and pay the postage and I will refund you the credit". I'll be damed if I PAY to ship it back to cartel China on my nickel. I payed w/postage $243 for a NOOB basically with an upgraded movement. I chose to leave it alone and take my business elsewhere OUTSIDE the cartel..Period.

Who are the cartel? Josh Andrew and Angus?

Is there anybody who does give good service when things go wrong?

I'm quite new here but have used josh at perfect clones a few times and his service is top of the game IMO .

I had a couple of issues and he sorted out straight away and even sent me a part I needed.so I'll stuck with him. :)

Have a similar issue with them also. My watch chrono is not working and emails are being ignored. Not seven sure if i want to send it back or take a less risky path and find a local smith.

I have sent plenty of watches back to China and never had a problem. You just need to follow the dealers return instructions to a T! ;)

i haven't lost a watch to China in 7 years..

Take your risk, its a small one. Especially to get a new watch or a refund.;)

Who are the cartel? Josh Andrew and Angus?

Yes. The original 4th member of the cartel was a dealer called King.

Is there anybody who does give good service when things go wrong?

Josh has the best reputation when it comes to customer service/aftercare, but personally, I don't trust any of the cartel dealers and would never buy from any of them, but that's just me :whistling:

PS Making the client pay the return shipping is standard practice with any dealer. Regardless of how indignant someone might get, the fact is that all returns are on the customers dime :bangin::pardon:
