  1. Just saw Adeodatus post before me. I was thinking along the same lines that Doxut was Doxa's line as Tudar was for Rolex.
  2. The only interesting thing I could find on Duxot is: IWC Moderator Join Date Oct 2006 Location United States Posts 4,029 Re: Heard of DUXOT? Is it related to Doxa? All the watches that I did see or find were on ebay. If the watch case is the same diameter and comes with the rice bead bracelet with the diver extension, maybe able to turn it into a rep Doxa.
  3. Great review of the bracelet. I sent you a pm.
  4. I have 2 SW200 that are in a couple Invicta watches I had bought several years ago and they have been running strong. I would like to put one in sub that has asian 2836. Don't know about the spacer ring though. Might have to find or make one.
  5. I have a Josh perfect clones Sub c that I would like to get the crystal replaced. What would be the part number to use on CousinsUK to get a Sternkreuz crystal? Thanks.
  6. Great watch box!! Can the blue watch take a gen crystal?
  7. I have a Tissot Seastar 1000 with a 2824 ETA and I can fill it winding every time I screw down the crown. I also have 2 Invicta watches with the SW200 in them and they screw down easily with no winding. Guess it all depends on the quality of the workman ship.
  8. Maybe 600 to include SL dial and hands.
  9. Hope you find out the info. Trying to date some of the older pens can be quite difficult.
  10. I had bought 2 Silix budget watches beginning of the year. A classic sub and ladies datejust. If you want a watch to beat around, you can't go wrong for the price.
  11. That's a nice build Sneed. Where did you get the case from?
  12. You can try CousinsUk or Ofrie. Here is an Invicta with the movement in it that can be had for a good price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Invicta-Men-s-Sea-Hunter-Swiss-Sellita-SW200-Automatic-26J-Black-Poly-Strap-1073-/110793367639?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item19cbcca057. I did find several 2824 movements on the bay for around 130-150.
  13. Those are great writers. My ex-father in law has a 1947 Sheaffer. It was valued at 425. There are several links richardspens.com & penhero.com ought to be very useful in IDing pens and possible dates of manufacture. Here is somemore info I found Sheaffer didn't have date codes on their pens, but generally speaking, the triumph nibs were introduced in the early 40's. These could be either vacuum or lever filled. Thinline (touchdowns) were introduced in '49, and snorkles in '52. Hope this helps you out.
  14. I think Watchmaker or Ofrie might have one. Not sure but you can send me the watch and I will wear it proudly without the pearl
  15. That's a great looking pen. I use several fountain pens myself. Couple Pelikans, Hero 100 and Waterman. Here is a link on some Sheaffer pens. http://www.pendemonium.com/pens_sheaffer_vintage.htm From what I can tell, the pens all have genuine parts. Was your pen's bladder replaced with aftermarket?
  16. Now that is a very nice looking watch!! I would mind having one of those. Any TD selling this?
  17. That's a cool looking watch. I like how the bezel is semi protected from bumps. How tall is that watch? 20mm?
  18. Josh is a great TD. I had bought 2 watches from him in the beginning of the year. Communication, transaction and QC pics went well.
  19. Best of luck!! Have glass of Macallen for me UnderArmor makes great under layer. Wicks sweat great and you can get it in anti-microbial. Take lots of wool clothing. Great for warm even when wet.
  20. That's a great looking watch. I love the blue. Where did you get the bracelet from?
  21. You can also use Windex and distilled water for a cleaning solution. I can't remember if I found the mix on this forum or cruising the net. Mix it 1:1. It works great and I use it in my cheapy Walmart cleaner.
  22. I buff/polish my on bracelets. They look better than when they were new from the dealers. Here is a great thread by Gioarmini on how to do it.
