Librarian Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 Arrrrrrggghhhhhh!!! I've just received an email from Domi stating my 6542 movement is dead and he can't get replacement parts. I've got 6 months and hundreds of pounds invested all for a pile of junk. Can anyone suggest a good replacement that is affordable. So depressed.
freddy333 Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 Can you be specific as to what parts for an ETA 2836-2 he cannot find? Has he (or you) tried cousins or julesborel for starters? ETA parts are stocked by a number of parts houses. Or just buy another 2836-2 & transplant the gmt parts.
Librarian Posted October 28, 2011 Author Report Posted October 28, 2011 Oops my bad. It's a modified movement, not a true gmt. I suspect I'll end up getting a true gmt instead but want to check out other options such as the dg gmt ones.
