Librarian
Arrrrrrggghhhhhh!!! I've just received an email from Domi stating my 6542 movement is dead and he can't get replacement parts. I've got 6 months and hundreds of pounds invested all for a pile of junk. Can anyone suggest a good replacement that is affordable. So depressed. freddy333
Can you be specific as to what parts for an ETA 2836-2 he cannot find? Has he (or you) tried cousins or julesborel for starters? ETA parts are stocked by a number of parts houses. Or just buy another 2836-2 & transplant the gmt parts.
Librarian
Oops my bad. It's a modified movement, not a true gmt. I suspect I'll end up getting a true gmt instead but want to check out other options such as the dg gmt ones.
kbh
The 2836-2 modified movements are available on eBay or direct from Helenarou. http://www.helenarou.com/swiss-eta-28362-movement-with-gmt-function-da28362300.html
Librarian
Thanks. I've bought one now. Another hundred quid. This had better be some watch at the end. Cheers guys.
