squashlovernk Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 CDG actually stands for Cotes de Geneve decoration which Watchmeister already explained above
txcollector Posted January 14, 2012 Author Report Posted January 14, 2012 This is how the backplate looks on the gen As you can see you have the CDG (http://hiro.alliancehorlogere.com/en/Under_the_Loupe/Geneva_Stripes) under the dial The rep comes with a nice decorated plate but the factories used a perlage (which is easier to do) In person the watch looks fine. I think the perlage gives enough texture to the backplate but my OCD will eventually move me to get the CDG done.
greekgod Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 Thanks you guys for your info ...pardon the lack of knowledge.. I want to get this done too!!! I have ordered RBII Rose Gold )
greekgod Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 CDG- Think of it as 3d "striping" the back plate. On this particular model the back plate peaks out from behind the basket weave. thx W CDG actually stands for Cotes de Geneve decoration which Watchmeister already explained above Thanks mate
