irolexu
I have a Franken DJ with a tired ETA. Everything is basically gen minus the movement and hands and Clark's Xstal. Seems like the new 3135 is becoming a favorable piece on the forums and I know this case is designed for the 1570 but I would love to be able to slap a 3135 in there and call it a day. my guess I'd it won't work but thought id ask any ways! yellomen
If i'm correct the 16000 series DJ used the 3135 movement So again... IF i'm correct it should be a perfect fit.
irolexu
I thought it used a 1570??
alligoat
Actually a 16000 DJ takes the 3035 Rolex movement. A 1600 takes the 1570 and a 16200 takes the 3135. It might be cheaper in the long run to just have your eta serviced- if it's a 2836-2, that's the best movement for the 16000 case.
raiser
Reviving this topic, I just picked up an SA3135 movement and (sadly) have found that it does not fit a datejust case. It appears to be too wide. For reference, I have three gen cases including 1601, 16030 and 16233 and tried the movement in all but it doesn't fit. Just wondering if anyone else has had success getting this movement into a gen DJ case and is this is an issue with all gen cases?
dbane883
The SA3135 is too thick. I tried squeezing it into a ST3035 case for my 16800 build and the retaining screws would not clear. I didn't think it would but I tried anyways
irolexu
Shame. The case can be modded though to take it if you don't mind grinding the sides a little wider
