Amazing Makeover....or, How To Make A $75.00 Rep Look Like A $1000.00 Gen

Okay, maybe that's a stretch you decide.

Before :

Nice rep. I know the crown guard is wrong, but the movement is very nice (ETA) and accurate +3 secs/day and the bracelet is near spot on (I know because my friend has my old Gen of this model)

Gen Dial and hands installed and still keeping +3 secs/day only now, I can gauge the accuracy at night

Been swimming, worn in the shower, worn while playing golf and still, keeps great time and only cost me $175.00. You can bet my buddy who bought my old Gen for $1000.00 thinks it's ugly

Thoughts, advice and criticism always welcome.

BTW, Why can't I get the image to show now? I tried everything I know. I've not had this problem in the past. Has something changed?

I have had 3 versions of this wtahc as a Gen. 2 Autos and 1 quartz (moment of weakness whilst off the meds) I have always loved the dial color and in all honesty, the Rep held it's own for a long time. And unless you had them side by side, it was/is a great looking Rep and a solid value in general as a nice timepiece.

Of course now, I'll have to sell it because it looks close to the Gen, but it's flaws are now Glaringly obvious.

But isn't that true of all things. The closer you get, the worse things look.....um....wait a minute.....never mind. I didn't mean to bring my dating experiences to this discussion....my bad
