flavor flav
i recieved an asian unitas PAM that only runs when upside down....weird but not that unusual. i bought the watch planning to install the new genuine 6497 i have on my bench. now i have had this old asian 6497 out of the watch sitting in a movement holder upside down for a month and a half. gave it a full wind before i put it in there. the scary part....it's still running! i think it's haunted! last asian 6497 i had runs about 28 hours power reserve not 40 days!!! how in the world is this possible??? it runs like a quartz! but only upside down! just in time for holloween i guess....... flavor flav
(Does the crown spin around & vomit pea-soup?) not yet! only thing i can think of is there is alot of friction somewhere causing it to run really slow. it's running at about 2 beats per second. just sitting in the movement holder. i'm sure it keeps great time. probably at this rate you can use the seconds hand as the minute hand.
