Febus
It's not a replica but bugger me if I couldn't find anywhere other than the 'Omega' area to post this question and I need as many people as possible to view this one. I'm considering buying this genuine watch, here's what I already know about it mostly from this site http://home.xnet.com/~cmaddox/MarkSeries.html Uses a 1040 movement and that's about it. Does anybody know what the correct Omega ref for this watches bracelet is, what the construction is and whether or not this watch has acrylic or a crystal? Does anyone also know what kind of water resistance this watch was rated to when new? I believe 30M but obviously no vintage watch is going to be reliable in that department even if pressure tested. I'm thinking of spending US$1300 on this watch thus why I'm asking around as much as possible.

chrgod
The Speedmaster Mk4 is a very nice and complicated watch.. You have good taste! However, 1300 USD should be top price.. I suppose you get box and all the original accessories for that price?? 1300 USD should even buy you a nice pre-moon Speedmaster.. I bought my nice Speedie Mk 2 for less than half of that. A different watch but I belive Mk2s are at about the same price level as the Mk4s. Good luck!

I was hoping for some comment on the price. Things are nice and expensive in the EU as I'm sure you know. I looked on some US sites and I could save at least $300 but I'd have import duties to pay. The watch in question comes with all the stuff, freshly serviced from a UK dealer still top dollar though.
