Lovecraft
So, I was looking around on cousins for what parts I'd want to order. I was looking at the 42" with white numerals and the 42" with red numerals trying to make my mind up about the dial. I noticed they had different hands Minute/Hour hands: 42" with red numerals: 2201.51.00 168.1650 cousins ref: X21168, £24.90 (Omega ref 065WZ4314) 42" with b/w numerals: 2201.50.00 168.1651 cousins ref: X23008, £18.40 (Omega ref 065WZ4312) Same for second hand... Are they different? Which one should I choose? I'm a bit confused here. I thought the watches were identical except for the dial.
cougar1
Case No: 168.1650 is the 45mm PO version, different sizes....don't use them, ....use the hands and other parts from either case no: 168.1653 (Full Orange 42mm PO) or case no 168.1651 (Full Black/White 42mm PO)
Lovecraft
I used a retailer as reference and it turns out they messed it up. Thanks for clearing it for me - again Edit: Seems the 42" hands are out of stock. I guess I won't be doing any work on my PO until April at the earliest. cougar1
#sh*t, yeah just see that about the hands, wow that's a delay, in fairness it's a factory supply estimate, usually they'd get them in sooner than that, happened to me on a few straps before, quoted months and months delay ahead, then had them at my door in about 2 or 3 weeks. Lovecraft
Maybe I'll just order it and see when it turns up. Couldn't manage to change the shipping address while keeping my billing address though, so I might have to call them. Also, I still havn't made up my mind about the dial. Another to think about: odds are I'll want one of the newer reps with ceramic bezel when they come along. Maybe it will be better to invest in some spare parts there instead? Also, I'd really want to get my hands on a decent new Aqua Terra rep, but I'm guessing the POs will come along much earlier since the ATs aren't nearly as popular. cougar1
Yeah, hope they get them in soon tbh, hate ordering some parts and then waiting for another delivery before you can even unbox the first order! I would love to see both a decent AT and ceramic PO but wouldn't hold my breath, sometimes it's hard to know what way it will pan out, I think we are along way from a ceramic PO rep, too many awkward things to be tackled on the newer one, dial, movement, bezel are all a big step up. It will be interesting to see the iterations of it, ....it might be even buyable in about two years or so Also love the teak AT's, so far they reps are poor, but these could be tackled with a little bit of effort on the factories part, they might get round to one as they are not exactly difficult except for the display caseback,. When it comes to the factories it's hard to know what approach they will take next, I reckon they look at the AT and think 'this might sell ok.....ah, maybe not...lets do another PAM'
