wat44 Posted February 21, 2012 Report Share Posted February 21, 2012 I was at a business gathering tonight and something caught my eye - a guy was wearing a complicated watch, not large, perpetual calendar - I kept trying to steal glances at it... then I saw the buckle, and bingo confirmed a Patek Philipe now, I know this is a very expensive watch! about an hour later I introduced myself and then said "thats a bloody fantastic watch, you've got there" and he said, yeah, its a $20 chinese one! Im a young guy (early 30's), he is atleast twice my age, I just laughed and said, no it isnt, its not a genuine. He just laughed and said, you should never admit it! We had a great chat about watches, turned out he was a watch nut also. If your gonna lie, you better be convincing, a guy my age wearing a 15grand watch, doing the job I do, it wont fly.
