curlflash Posted March 6, 2012 Report Posted March 6, 2012 Hello hello , It's good dial for daytona project or not? : http://www.ebay.it/itm/ROLEX-quadrante-Pre-daytona-6234-/270867949897?pt=Orologi_da_Polso&hash=item3f10fce949 Thanks
DeeKa Posted March 6, 2012 Report Posted March 6, 2012 The 2 pictures show 2 different dials. On the top picture the coronet is correct old style but the rest of the text is way off, on the lower dial the coronet is too modern but the text looks better. Dee
curlflash Posted March 6, 2012 Author Report Posted March 6, 2012 Hi Dee Thanks, will ask the seller to find out which it sells. J.
Ephry73 Posted March 6, 2012 Report Posted March 6, 2012 I do wonder which case could be used for that build. E
curlflash Posted March 6, 2012 Author Report Posted March 6, 2012 For this case (for exemple) : it can be nice I think.
alligoat Posted March 6, 2012 Report Posted March 6, 2012 Here's a gen 6234 dial Rolex crown emblem at 12, not the number. Certainly the second dial is a new fabrication, don't know about the first one, although it does have some age to it. But the price isn't bad for a rep dial, either way. Case for a 6234 would come from Phong at jewelry and watch, around $1500. The case curlflash has pictured has a V71 movement in it which is larger than a V72- 14 ligne vs 13 ligne, so it wouldn't work.
Ephry73 Posted March 6, 2012 Report Posted March 6, 2012 that 6234 would look really nice on an oiled aged brown strap, or perhaps a bund brown strap. E
curlflash Posted March 7, 2012 Author Report Posted March 7, 2012 Thanks Alligoat, Yes, i's really different ... Ephry, the look it's very nice, I love this look
curlflash Posted March 7, 2012 Author Report Posted March 7, 2012 ...I think the ref for this dial it's 4537
Ephry73 Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 Should make up a nice little project. Ugh, I can't stand it LOl E
