Akira
Hello fellow members I thought I'd survive the 6 months in the US without a nice rep on my wrist, but apparently I was only kidding myself So here is the deal. CONUS only! Is there a nice member who likes to sell me either: 1. a very nice modded vintage Rolex? - 62XX Daytona - 5512/13 - 5508/5510 - 1665 GW - 1016 2. recent N-factory PAMs - surprise me Also - like some of you know - I lend my 1675 Franken to Solky during my US time. I'm a trustworthy person and if another trustworthy person would like to "lend" a watch to me... In exchange for money as a deposit - I'd be more than happy as well. Meaning, I want to get rid of the watch when I leave the US in August anyways, so we could just agree I send it back then and you refund the amount Just post a pic of your offer if you like and I will contact you PS: Price shouldn't be much over $300 in sale value and not much over $400 in loan Thanks to all of you Cheers Akira Edited March 9, 2012 by Akira
valerian
Cool idea! Sadly I'm your usual side of the pond. How on earth did you end up in NYC without a watch to wear? Val.
Akira
Thanks Val, you know there are a lot of watches in your collection I'd have loved to "loan" About not taking a watch, I wear one - a genuine Skagen Automatic - but didn't take any reps because of German customs when getting back....they can be a real PITA
woof*
Really? German customs officer would see a sub on your wrist and spot it as a rep? And then take it from you? That's amazing to me. How do they authenticate a watch?

How do they authenticate a watch? Chances are they don't spot it at all... If they do, they might ask for purchase proof, because they'd need a tax proof etc. because of import rules. 19% taxes on any item purchased outside the EU over 450€ and purchased in the last 5 years. I know chances are small, but I couldn't live happy anymore if anything would go wrong and I'd loose my Franken 1675 because of it.
DeeKa
Well wearing one rep or franken wouldn't result in a look of them, but having unworn reps in the luggage means you will be fined and the watches seized. Dee
