Ephry73
Has anyone purchased one of these? I am curious about the window size. I have been looking at either the 1680 in white or their 1665. ANy comparison pictures will be greatly appreciated. E
Rolexaddict
Are you talking about these rings which suppose to adapt a Rolex dial on a ETA without cut the dial feet ? no way, and it makes no sense, use a regular brass ring from a rep, and cut dial feet as usual, you will save money ans hassle I have made some experiments : Rolex movements are 13 1/2 lines, will fit without difficulties inside the worse Canal Street pot metal Rolex case, ETA movements are 11 1/2 lines, will fit without difficulties inside a gen or the worse Yuki case, using the rep brass ring
Ephry73
I mean the actual dials. The date windows just seem small(6:9)
slickdick
They are positioned for eta movements. So it works with an original eta datewheel. You will alsno need a crystal with cyclops further from center. All in all not wat you want.
highoeyazmuhudee
do you mean the rings that allow an ETA to be used in a case for a gen rolex movement?
Ephry73
No, I mean the actual dials. Not the adaptor ring, the actual DIALS. The date window looks small, so I wanted to know if anyone had purchased these dials to see if the date window is indeed an ETA date window. Rolexaddict
sorry Ephry, I didn't read well, or to fast, (as usual... ) you question, About Yuki dials date window, I think the same. Something is vrong, I will say : imho, not small, but misaligned. Or probably both.
Ephry73
No worries addict. We all do that. I am curious because for a quick modest build, the kit wouldn't be bad, but from their pictures the date windows look small, as in eta display small. SportsterRider
From the sound/look of it, the date window on these dials is designed to work with a stock ETA movment - I.E. no DW overlay. So ya, the window will not only be smaller, it will also be positioned closer to the crown requiring a crystal with a cyclops closer to the crown.
