Jkay Posted April 7, 2012 Report Share Posted April 7, 2012 Mechanical watches should all be adjustable to be accurate to 15 or less seconds a day unless something is very wrong. Your watch just needs to be regulated (adjusted). I have a rep Panerai 127 that runs +3 seconds a day. This accuracy is not always possible. Your mileage may vary. freddy333 Posted April 7, 2012 Report Share Posted April 7, 2012 It may simply need the effective length of its hairspring adjusted (simple adjustment for any professional watchmaker), but all mechanical watches require overhaul (disassembly, cleaning & oiling) every 5-7 years to maintain good, consistent time.
