Omega Seamaster Professional Reference Guide (Photos + models)

Hey guys,

There's been several questions floating around about "which model is that black SMP with those skinny hands?" and/or "which SMP is the black Bond SMP?". I decided to generate a brief reference guide for those new to the SMP. This guide helps put a face to most of the SMP models out there. I realise I haven't captured them all (like the Apnea), but this reference guide does a pretty good job at identifying the more common models and some of the ones that have been repped in the past. NOTE: Some of these models come in different bezel finishes and strap options, which of course tweak the model numbers.

If I can free up some time, I'd like to add some more models to the thread and generate one of these for the Planet Ocean as well...

Enjoy!

Thanks a lot for this. One quick question, though. Do the gen SMPs all have the He symbol on the helium valve? The ones that I have seen have, but there are so many variants. Most reps, even otherwise quite decent ones, seem to have the Omega symbol on the helium valve, exactly the same as on the crown. I do wonder if some gens do in fact have that - anyone know?

Thanks for the great photos.

The new black ceramic is very nice.

I wear a 2254.50 with an Omega rubber strap and deployment clasp, and although I have 6 or 7 dive watches the 2254, is still one of my all time favorites.

Omega will always be a classic timepiece.

Both my gen 2531.80 and 2594.52 have the omega symbol. The only watch that I know which I remember eeing the He on the escape valve is the Planet Ocean.
