  1. Hi, The movement is Eta 2824-2. Thanks
  2. Hi, The stem on my new rep Seamaster Titanium PO has broken, twice. Even the replacement I got from Andrew. I'm not over tightening the crown at all, it seems to snap at the slightest bit of resistance. Can someone advise me what stem will work on this watch? eBay has many different kinds. I'm so disappointing. I've had 3 replicas, and all 3 have broken. I guess I never learn. I think I've just been fooling myself, and trying to fool others, that the shiny "prestigious watch" I've been wearing on my wrist is nothing more than cheap chinese trash. Such a pity.
  3. Well, my new PO has broken already. The crown came away from the watch completely. It doesn't seem to be connected to anything now. I'm contacting Andrew.
  4. Well, here is my new PO Ti. It is light, however I didn't get that sense of cheapness others have reported feeling. It still feels pretty solid to me. It's keeping good time, and the power reserve seems good. The lume is good and bright and the AR coating looks nice. I'm happy overall. It has the usual flaws, the pearl is off and still a giveaway to those in the know, and the OMEGA logo on the back is a little rough and a bit too deep. Also, the clasp is not really up to par - the watch comes off too easily for my liking. The wrong wrist movement and the thing falls off.
  5. Here is my recent QC pic. The pearl size and position is a lot like yours. The OMEGA lettering looks slightly different. The O looks fatter on yours. I'm not sure which is correct. I guess there are gonna be differences though in all reps. PS. What is a 'noob' rep?
  6. I've noticed something with a lot of reps, that either the pearl is oversized or the triangle is undersized. On the gen, and some reps I've seen, there is a larger gap between the edge of the pearl and the edge of the triangle. I noticed this on my QC pics, and mentioned it to Andrew, but he told me that's just how it was, and that I could either accept it or cancel my order. Strange that I saw a rep on this site that was also from TT, and had a very good pearl with acceptable gaps.
  7. I love these new Ceramic SMPs. Like a previous poster said though, I don't like the 007 dial so I'm waiting for the "plain" version. Thanks.
  8. I'm in love with the new SMP-C! I can't wait to see a rep.
  9. Bump. Is there something wrong with my case back? It's grey whereas all the other reps ive seen have a silver engraving. Also, the engraving looks much better in other reps I've seen here. Thanks
  10. I'm also curious about this, as I scratched my rep Seamaster case while experimenting with it. Would a cheaper Seamaster rep be the same chassis? I could replacement the dials and movements etc. I'm also thinking the cheaper models would have inferior crystals? Maybe glass or something?
  11. So I saw this today while browsing some rep sites. It's so horrible I can't even describe. Anyone seen worse?
  12. Hey, I recently got a Tag Aquaracer Chronograph from Mary. Here are a few (bad) pics, taken with my phone, and my initial thoughts about the watch. The dial looks excellent. The model I bought is in black, so there are no issues with colour being off compared to the gen. The TAG logo is imperfect, but this is pretty well-known flaw (the 'G' lacks the arrow seen on the gen). The date can look at little crooked at times. I haven't owned many replicas, but I would imagine the lume is below average. After 'charging' it holds luminosity for a couple of minutes before returning to a pretty dull state, visible, but just barely, in darkness. The case seems generally solid. The links were VERY hard to remove. My plastic resizer wasn't enough to resize the bracelet so I had to entrust this job to a watchmaker, and even he took the best part of 15 minutes to resize the bracelet. Compared to the gen pics i've seen, the bracelet looks very well replicated. The bezel and buttons are also excellent reproductions. There is one notable exception with regards to the, generally well replicated, case: the engravings on the caseback (see pic below) As you can see above, the 'diver helmet' engraving lacks the detail of the gen. It almost looks as if it's been sanded or filed down in places. Also, the engraved wording around the 'diver helmet' is inked in black, whereas on the gen the wording is simply engraved with no ink. I believe the ink is easily removable though. Compare with a pic of a genuine case back I found: Other engravings are fine with no discernable difference from the genuine, to my untrained eye. The case is pretty thick, but I like them that way. Operationally, the rep works fine but the buttons can be a little dodgy. Maybe this just comes with the territory of Asian 7750 movements, as my rep Seamaster is the same. The 'start' button is sticky at times and depresses with a 'pop' and can take a few seconds to return to it's normal position. The 'reset' button is springy, and there is no audible 'pop' or 'click' when I press it. Time and date functions seem to be working fine. I realise all this has been covered before, but I just thought I'd post my own personal thoughts on this replica. Regards, G
  13. I have one. The battery life is awful, so bear that in mind.
  14. I'm in the uk. Northern Ireland to be precise. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
  15. I watched a program about asian call-centres once and all the employees were "assigned" western identities, with background stories too. They were even given information on western sports and popular culture so they could make small talk. I guess it's something similar with the rep dealers.
  16. What's with the fake western names anyway? Angus, Nikki, Joshua, Andrew. Do they think it makes them seem more trustworthy?
  17. Totally agree with OP. I love Omegas, but I hate the rep pearl!! I picked up a gen bezel for my Seamaster chrono. I'll post pics when I have it on.
  18. When my butt-plug company ranks alongside those corporate titans, I'll wear a hublot big bang.
  19. I have mate, but they were taken with a phone cam so not great quality. I'll send some tomorrow.
  20. Well, I got my watch yesterday. It looks nice, but a few little things are niggling me: 1) The bezel is a little shaky, like it's not properly secured. I can move it up and down ever so slightly, enough to hear it clicking against the crystal. 2) The omega logo is, er, smudged. In direct light it's fine, but in non-direct light I can see white smudges on it. I don't know if it's some kind of adhesive, or finger-prints maybe. 3) Maybe not a flaw, but the chronograph start button 'clicks' in, as opposed to depressing smoothly like a spring. So, should I contact the seller or just be thankful I got the watch. Thanks
  21. There is a week long national holiday in china, so she can't send mine until the 6th at least.
  22. No. I recognise the style and background of the pics. I'd be very surprised if it wasn't who I thought it was.
  23. I recognise the QC pics. I've ordered from the same seller.
