I would love to get some gen parts for my 2008 smp chrono rep. Namely a bezel and some new hands. The rep was like £250 delivered, a bezel would be £150 and hands maybe £20 (?). £420+ for a rep is hard to justify.

I love these watches! I'm curious, has anyone compared them to gens? I'm curious to know how exact the replicas are. From pics of gens I've seen, the inner workings look quite different, but the cases look pretty good. Are the new replicas better?

Beware of bezels selling for cheap. £28 sounds way too cheap. The cheapest genuine bezel I could find on eBay was £140.

Nothing looks right with this item. The pearl looks off, the hands look small and tinted orange (?). The engravings seem off too. What do you guys think?

Hi, I have a SMP 300m Chrono ordered. It's currently en route from Joshua. I'll post pics and my thoughts when it arrives. You're right about the hands, they are a touch too short. Also the pearl is too low and a bit oversized. On the plus side, the Omega logo is perfect. Have a look at my QC pics here: http://imgur.com/a/30xJC

It's definitley a genuine bezel anyway, or the first flawless pearl rep i've seen. I'm a noob, but I think it's real.

Hi, Could i get a few suggestions where to buy watch parts. Im looking for a tag heuer aquaracer day-date chrono dial. Ofrei doesnt have many tag parts. Also looking for an omega smp chrono bezel. Ive seen a few but would be nice to have a few extra sources. Also, is it difficult to replace an smp bezel? Thanks

I'm so close to buying this watch! I have a real hang-up about the logo's on the reps. I know every rep has flaws, but I think the logo shouldn't have obvious flaws. On the reps, it's thinner and lacks defined arrows. Damn. What do to?

Beautiful watch. Now I'm torn between this and the day-date chrono! I've spent an hour scrutinising pictures of the genuine 500m chrono, and comparing them to this rep and the quality of the rep really is superb. If I were to pick a flaw it would be the tag logo itself. The font seems slightly thinner than the gen, and of course the arrow on the 'G' which the OP pointed out isn't as clear as the gen. Still, it's an awesome rep!

Looks nice to me! I'm a newbie too and I've yet to see a rep with accurate pearl I plan to add one of these to my collection (currently: 1 ). P.S Love the mario music on the vid.

Hi, I have a new version SMP chrono coming. The QC pics confirmed typical pearl inaccuacy i.e. it sits too low in the triangle, touching the edges. I read in a review about a pearl upgrade that can be carried out. I'm nowhere near competent enough to carry this out myself. Are there any modders who could give me a price for doing this for me? Thanks for the replies. Thankfully, the model I ordered has an accurate font with the centre strikethrough. Also, there are no happy feet. To me, it's a flawless replication (To my untrained eye) with one exception: the pearl. It sits too low in the triangle and touches the edges. I've only been introduced to the rep scene within the past few days yet I know enough to immediatley glance at the pearl of any seamaster I see. The reps just can't get this right it seems.

I have the new SMP chrono on order. Received QC pics recently. The omega font is indeed fixed, as is the HE valve position. The dial on cursory inspection is indistinguishable from the gen. As usual however, the pearl is a give-away. It's oversized and a little too recessed, with a greenish tint. The pearl touches the edges of the triangle, whereas on the gen there is discernable white space between the pearl and the edges. The engravings on the back are also excellent. Certainly nothing gives away it's lack of authenticity, at least to the untrained eye. I'm tempted to buy an authentic bezel, but at the price of a high-end rep, I might just purchase a TAG Aquaracer if I want to fool people. Sorry for bumping a 6-month old thread, but I figured some people would be interested in hearing about the new rep. Here are a couple of pics.

Hi, I bit the bullet and ordered a Seamaster Professional Chrono from PC (model OMSE00111). I'm a tad worried now however since reading that the model I ordered, the one with red wording, isn't as accurate as the older model. The lettering is reported to be inaccurate, which is quite worrying, since lettering is a very basic aspect of replication. Does anyone have this rep? Are it's shortcomings bad?
