marlin22
Hi Guys, I was able to see first hand a gen. movement up close and discovered that the Panerai gear train is pearlized, I have been playing with this for some time now and I think I have perfected it. I will be adding this to my builds from now on, please tell me what you think. Here are some pictures (please bear in mind the lighting is different on every picture, I will be taking some better picture when the builds are done) Here is the movement 90% compleste 30% competed stock movement on the left on gear train modification / 90% competed on the right with modified gear train Gen vs. Project Three way comparison ETA vs, Asian vs. Project Some Gen. shots Thanks for looking and please give me you thoughts, ideas and opinion, they are very important....... parny
Yup, looks really good. I've noticed this issue before, the gears were just off on the Asian noob. I just purchased, and am awaiting a PAM 111 N noob. Would you consider doing this to my movement for me, for a price of course? Cheers
Rolexman
can't really see what you mean. Sorry. Are you talking about the perlage on the base plate between the wheel bridges? Don't all noob movements have this straight from the factory? Mine at least does. Edit. I now see what you mean. The brushing on the wheel isn't really called 'perlage' . Anyway it's really cool how you are into the details. Nice mod!

cht
Nice work! Wondering also if you did the incabloc. And where did you get the winding wheels? Will you perform these mods to our watches for a fee? I think a nice package would be winding wheels, pearlage and incabloc.
