MAHLER
I have the idea of trying to improve the rep tube on 380. But before , I would like to know something about the construction of this tube. Does anyone know if is screwed to the case or simply pressed into the hole? Thanks in advance for suggestions and advice .
Cats
Can't help you Mahler with the question but i do like your initiative to improve/solve the crown tube issue of the 380. This is the reason why i didn't pull the trigger on a 380 cause i know i will be looking a 100 times a day to the gap between the crown and tube. MAHLER
Ok, I found on Rwgboard this old post of KBH . So the tube is pressed into the case not screwed. In the same article perhaps there is a solution for the length of the tube. The solution is to change the tube with this http://www.cousinsuk.com/catalog/4/0/1975/3291.aspx ( Tube for Style K Screwdown Crowns ). When I have some money I will try to order the part.
