Cartier Ballon Bleu

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of buying this watch for my wife, but dont know very much about Cartier reps. http://www.trustytime.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=21_207&products_id=4806

Trusty seems to have two versions of this, one has a Japanese Quartz movement, and the other has a Swiss Quartz movement. I'm not sure if the movements are any different, i cant imagine what the difference would be, but the Swiss one seems to have a saphire crystal, which I think would make a big difference.

Does anyone here know much about these watches, is this a decent rep, and should I get the Swiss version?

I'd appreciate any advice.

I cant imagine the price difference being that much, go for the sapphire, i have done a battery change on one of these and it was quite well made.

I got the quartz with no seconds hand....Put a gen strap on it and it looks amazing.

Yes, I think the price difference is about 60 dollars. I'm more interested in it having a sapphire crystal than the origin of the quartz movement.

The dial can either be regular or mother of pearl. Is the MOP dial worth getting, or does the plain one look better?

My gf has the plain, mid size, sapphire, quartz version from Josh. Its pretty spot on, with a nice gen strap its 99% there.

I've got the swiss eta version from trusty. I bought it for my mom and she's very please. I'm very picky on details and this watch is really well done!
