I bought one 5 years ago now but that dealer seems to have disappeared and the movement has been damaged. Guess I have 3 options , buy another , find , buy and replace the movement with asia 7750 or replace with genuine swiss valijoux which I have heard of being done by others.

Any pointers or tips from the experience of others would be highly appreciated.

You got good enough innings out of it if it lasted 5 years :) ...You could ask one of the dealers to source you a 7750, if it's one of the better day date aquaracers it is possibly worth holding onto as I don't think these have changed much over the years. Swiss valijoux are a little on the expensive side but it all depends how much the rep is worth to you. I'm sure one of the dealers like Andrew would be able to source a movement for you. Sorry couldn't be more help, best of luck! Also btw have a look at the new aquaracers, these are fairly decent reps also!

Hi Cougar,

Thanks for the info. Yep, definately had a good run. google is a scary place when your trying to source another. It is the day date aquaracer and I like it so worth repairing for me. Anyone else have an idea?

If it was a 5 year old rep, it might have had the low-beat 7750 in it. That would be a good thing for you--all of the hands are direct swaps to Swiss 7750.

If it was the high-beat 7750, you might as well just have another high-beat A7750 put in it.

Or, honestly, the cheapest option is to just buy another one and keep the old one for spare parts. That's what I'd do. Reps are cheap
