wimbiweewoo Posted July 10, 2012 Report Share Posted July 10, 2012 I bought one 5 years ago now but that dealer seems to have disappeared and the movement has been damaged. Guess I have 3 options , buy another , find , buy and replace the movement with asia 7750 or replace with genuine swiss valijoux which I have heard of being done by others. cougar1 Posted July 10, 2012 Report Share Posted July 10, 2012 You got good enough innings out of it if it lasted 5 years ...You could ask one of the dealers to source you a 7750, if it's one of the better day date aquaracers it is possibly worth holding onto as I don't think these have changed much over the years. Swiss valijoux are a little on the expensive side but it all depends how much the rep is worth to you. I'm sure one of the dealers like Andrew would be able to source a movement for you. That would be a good thing for you--all of the hands are direct swaps to Swiss 7750. If it was the high-beat 7750, you might as well just have another high-beat A7750 put in it. Or, honestly, the cheapest option is to just buy another one and keep the old one for spare parts. That's what I'd do.
