lionsandtigers Posted August 16, 2012 Report Posted August 16, 2012 Was in the elevator with a guy in my building who was wearing a gen 62 5513 in mint condition. Since we've chatted before and I've seen him wearing a platinum day-date and his wife wearing a gold daytona, I mentioned the watch. He had no idea what the model was and just complained about it. My point is, to be in possession of a historical timepiece and not know what the hell it is is a real shame. And it annoyed the [censored] out of me. 1
Logan Posted August 16, 2012 Report Posted August 16, 2012 What a waste.. his stylist probably picked it for him and told him which clothes to wear it with..
siesta181 Posted August 16, 2012 Report Posted August 16, 2012 Offer a below market price for it. He probably thinks its just a sub...
HauteHippie Posted August 16, 2012 Report Posted August 16, 2012 Ya, why didn't you offer him $3000 to take it off his hands?
lionsandtigers Posted August 16, 2012 Author Report Posted August 16, 2012 Guy lives in a 6 bedroom apt, loaded. Hey may not know which model it is but I'm sure he's no fool
trinsic Posted August 16, 2012 Report Posted August 16, 2012 Offer him. See what he says. If the price is right. Goooooo for it! You don't any more lucky than this...
StormTooper4 Posted August 16, 2012 Report Posted August 16, 2012 I understand your frustration but as Toro says , he ain't like us. Thankfully few people are because i can have a tendency to make peoples eyes glase over when I talk DW fonts & and T vs L dials. We can be seriously boring when we get going
