squashlovernk
Just got this modded AP Diver V3 with an ETA 2846 low-beat and figured I would make a short vid to show the difference. IRL, the beat rate is MUCH MORE noticeable but I think you can still see the difference in the side by side comparasion. I purposely did not state which is which so you can determine the difference for yourself.
juan.sidarta
right is lower beat? Left seems smoother, so i assume it has higher beat to make it smoother, no? Which is 'better' i know its a very subjective word, but if anyone care to explain the difference and why it is for an AP? I've read many people arguing that they prefer the lower beat movement. jeff g
Personally I prefer the smoother beat of the watch on the left.

The reason for this mod is that movement the gen uses (Cal. 3120) is 21600 bph, so using a 2846 gives your diver an overall more accurate feel. watch.aholic
Personally I prefer the smoother beat of the watch on the left. Me too...disregarding the fact that the gen would be less smooth
squashlovernk
There are LOTS of manufacturer's watches that use low-beat movements. Reliability is subjective. Patek Philippe, AP, Blancpain, and others use in-house movements which are low-beat (21,6k) so even if you prefer a high-beat movement, why would you want something different from the gen version. It is NOT an improvement in any way but it does make the rep differ from the gen in that regard.
