Watchmeister
Does anyone else ever come up with a fantasy history to go along with a fantasy or franken watch? Well, if not I am the only 10 year old here. And here is one of mine: As many PAM fans know there are very few examples (only two I am aware of) of Pre-A 03's and both were with 6500 cases. Here is my fantasy 6502. Specs on this one include: - Gen 03 T-dial. Rumored to be stolen from the Panerai factory at the time Vendome was moving in. I didn't purchase it until 2002 though. This is one of 3 which I am aware of which came up with the dial completed but the tritium never applied - Gen T hands - Gen caseset and crystal (C or earlier series), crown guard and pre-V crown - Gorgeous caseback purchased from another esteemed member a couple of years ago; and last but not least: - First generation Dirks Panerai strap - softest I have ever had. Oh yes, and please ignore the bare feet. And the obligatory wrist shot:
ogladio
What a wonderful watch! Usually have a hard time with white dials, but this is just too darn nice. Lovely write-up too, hadn't heard the background story before, thanks W!
StormTooper4
Great Dial and caseback looks a treat. That strap is pretty special to. Wear it well
