agentoso74
I would like to purchase the above mentioned watch and want it to be mod. Can anyone recommend me what are the mods needed and who should I send for the mod? Thank you. http://puretime.co/product/vintage-comex-sea-dweller-1665-best-edition/
irolexu
There are a lot of SD threads lately...but I'll help you out. Not sure how much and how far you want to go so I'll list all possible mods that I know of for this watch. Replace pearl with gen or good afternarket Gen crown and tube mod 93160a tc bracelet Maybe replace the crystal with a nice aftermarket Trim crown guards Enjoy

Replace pearl with gen or good afternarket Gen crown and tube mod 93160a tc bracelet Maybe replace the crystal with a nice aftermarket Trim crown guards Enjoy The 93160 is not correct for this model- stick with the 93150 and either keep the 580 ends or get a set of 585 ends which are more correct. If you replace the crystal, you'll probably need a custom retaining ring from jmb- I did it and it worked out great- the watch is WR now also, but plan on spending $75-100 doing it- more if you spring for a gen crystal. Or leave the crystal as is and stay out of the water or have it tested first. trim the cgs is a must and easy to do you might have to service the 2846, but those are the breaks- it's a good old slow beat swiss movement. woof*
Your correct alligoat, and good advice. I assumed.. as the other poster he meant the new superlumed SD, but after clicking the link he means the 1665.
