mellons
Here is the "new" jackson no cg 47mm case- Some info on reshapes has been posted before but for some reason I think this case is not coming up on modders radars: it is a really nice shape with plenty of meat around lug area (better stock shape than silix 6154) Currently there are no casebacks (aftermarket) available but shape of stock one is very nice- this has been posted about before by southy Here are two versions of reshape- one is a milder reshape with solder fill to eliminate the pronounced dip in case around crown, the other is more aggressive. The more aggressive one takes the case down on both sides to remove the dip. I don't have an older DSN no cg cast to compare to but certainly from images the jackson is on a par- see what you guys think! It would be interesting to see if anyone has done a vintage build with this case set yet. BTW the stock sterile display caseback is actually quite nice also. Reshaped cases are in progress and have not been polished: this matt finish is better to view shapes also. First is line-up with mild reshape LHS, stock unmodded centre, and aggressive reshaped one RHS here is stock case here is lightly modded one with solder fill around crown here is more agressively reshaped case with sides taken down to remove crown dip some shots of crown area- stock agressively reshaped
mir36
Nice! Didn't even know this existed. Actually it looks good even without a re-shape. But your aggressive re-shape rocks!
mir36
BTW, the 6152 LPMM link in my sig is a re-shaped DSN no-CG case. I think your re-shaped Jackson looks alot better. Which Jackson stock number is this (MM##)?
mellons
here is the link: the stock shape is really quite good: mm235 bezel is not great but caseback is fine. Jackson sells case only also http://www.jacksontse.com/mm235.html

Watchmeister
Great rework and IMHO critical to using that case for the project.
