Urwerk reps?

Anyone know of any convincing Urwerk replicas?

I know its a long shot as the inner complexities/ design on display (amount of work involved) but thought I would ask anyway.

unfortunately no, no chance!

Reps exist only of watches that one would consider 'overpriced' in the sense that the price exceeds material value by far. In those cases the buyer pays a premium (often many thousands) for the brand name.

Highly complex watches (such as Urwerk) are produced in very low numbers. They have to be developed and crafted and therefore the overall value is high and could not possibly be recreated in large numbers by a repfactory. (High numbers, popular brand --> Profit)

Therefore before asking if a certain rep exists, check if it uses a 'conventional' movement, with no or only a few complications. Otherwise there will not be a rep. (Especially horizonatal movements or anything to do with gear trains or liquids.)

The great exception to this rule is the tourbillon, but even that is a minor complication, compared to all the proof-of -concept's, etc.
