Cats Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 Does anyone have experience with the Panatime tube set installed on the latest Radiomir types. Cape Diem Cats Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
PeteM Posted October 23, 2012 Report Posted October 23, 2012 Very good ... fit straight in... plus they are better quality and have washers.. Unfortunately the post was more than the kit itself !! Not sure if it might be cheaper to try a few buys in EU together or maybe ask a US member to recieve and send on
Cats Posted October 23, 2012 Author Report Posted October 23, 2012 Thanks PeteM I have set laying around and I will replace it with the panatime ones. Carpe Diem Cats Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
rogerthat Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 I hope in a few days to have a new rep 380 without panatime's set as well as a new rep 380 with rep set both in my hands at the same time for comparison
Cats Posted October 24, 2012 Author Report Posted October 24, 2012 Just tried to install the panatime tubes. The angle of the part that goes into the watch and the part that fits into the strap is wrong. The 2 parts that go into the strap aren't parallel to the case but stick out in a v-shape. If have tried to bent them into the right angle but that wasn't easy. The connectors that go into the strap and keep the 2 lug wires aligned don't fit. When i put the screws into the case 1 screw was stripped within a second. So all in all no panatimes tubes for me anymore. I'll try to post some pics of what i mean with the wrong angle tomorrow. rogerthat Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 (edited) bummer about the lug tubes Are the Panatime screws better than the rep screws? Can they be used at least? The rep screws don't hold very well without loctite and if loctite is used you are likely to strip the heads if you change straps Edited October 24, 2012 by rogerthat
genoint Posted October 24, 2012 Report Posted October 24, 2012 The Panatime screws are a tad longer and don't screw flush to the case. From my experience all radiomir screws need loctite and I have always been able to get them out with little effort. The core t type of loctite should hold the screws enough without acting like glue.
Cats Posted October 25, 2012 Author Report Posted October 25, 2012 Agree with genoint . I thought that the pantime set would fix the issue but that isn't the case. I'll just stick to the standard lugs and screws and use the blue loctide. Carpe Diem Cats
PeteM Posted October 25, 2012 Report Posted October 25, 2012 Blimey mate.... Mine went straight in... fitted fine in both my Rads.... which are the newer versions... The only thing I remember being diufferent was the catch points on the bars ..
Cats Posted October 25, 2012 Author Report Posted October 25, 2012 Back with a new strap and the old lugwires Not bad after all. Carpe Diem Cats
Cats Posted October 26, 2012 Author Report Posted October 26, 2012 It's a Bob 26/22 mm Marino Calf strap from Bob straps. You can find him on Ebay. Carpe Diem Cats
