lionsandtigers
Hi Guys, I need a little help/guidance as to mounting a gen 1560 movement to a mbw polex 5513 case. I assume the beveled screws will do the trick but this is new territory for me, never been past eta in this realm so any help pointing me in the right direction would help. I have the gen dial and movement burning a hole in my eyes waiting to get into that case. Thanks in advance
freddy333
I have no experience fitting a 1560, but here is a 1575 in my 1665 MBW case The dimensions of 15xx movements are all the same (28.5mm x 5.75mm), so it should fit the same way. As I recall, the only modification I had to do to fit the movement into the MBW case was to reshape the calendar ring, which your movement lacks, so that should not be an issue. However, as is always the case with vintage Rolex & rep cases (including MBW), anything is possible.
lionsandtigers
Thanks Freddy, any idea where I can locate a set of the mounting screws since this movement did not come with any?
freddy333
I found a set on ebay once & they can often be found in the Sale sections of VRF & TZ. Also, Ofrei sells sets of Bergeon case screws that will work. I cannot tell you which set you need, so you may have to get a couple to find the right screws.
