Considering that quite a few years ago, much younger, I got slightly altitude sick traveling to the Jungfraujoch Railway station (highest in Europe) in Switzerland., I cannot comprehend base camp at 17500 feet!! frankt Posted March 5, 2013 Report Share Posted March 5, 2013 Having lived at sea level my whole life, I can recall getting a bit "buzzy" for the first couple of days during a trip to Denver a few years back... I cannot even imagine the situation I'd be in at the altitudes you encounter on an Everest trek!!!!
