Legend Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 http://www.puretime.co/blog/330/ Ok the AP ROO GP V2 is out. Looks like they updated the dial color to be closer to gen, and also the straps. The "forged carbon" is still disguised steel, however. I am looking to get one, but am undecided. What do you guys think of this please? Thanks all
Legend Posted March 12, 2013 Author Report Posted March 12, 2013 UPDATE: The V2 with forged carbon parts has just been released.. Disclaimer: I am not working for puretime or am I associated in any way with them. I have been looking out for updates to this model since it first got released, thats all.

Mr Z Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 i Would say the V2 fc version waste of time still no correct the red only the sub dial which are better but still not closer enough ! strap looks better thou .. wait and see!!
MJC Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 I got it and it's AMAZING... jk fellas, better but still so off!
Legend Posted March 18, 2013 Author Report Posted March 18, 2013 I got it and it's AMAZING... jk fellas, better but still so off! Is this the forged carbon version or the one that is steel dressed to look like forged carbon please? I can't tell if its off or accurate from that pic
Motoman4540 Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 Sure looks like the new forged carbon! I don't know how it got to US so fast though . . . Puretime just put it up March 14 I think! Strange that they would get the forged carbon case and still not correct the red color . . of the two, correcting the color seems a lot easier!
Watchmeister Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 I didn't know they are offering a true fored carbon case? Are the rep factories making them or is Angus buying from the forum member who makes his own cases? I do have to agree that the dial is different but not better. The case in that pic on the face of it looks good. They have either gotten better at faking it or it is carbon.
Mr Z Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 nice pic of the gen .... Angus is indeed supplied from the forum member that produces FC cases !! as for the dial i will do compare with the v2 against my Z-mod dial .. which i know is closer to the gen then V2!! NO im not modding the dial out side my modded GP's
MJC Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 Guys I'm sorry, I thought it was implied by the 'jk' this is my genuine Grand Prix. I mentioned that the new one indeed looks better but it's still night and day from the real deal
Legend Posted March 19, 2013 Author Report Posted March 19, 2013 Angus was offering the forged carbon version.. but now, it seems that they've all been snapped up. I agree with you guys, the color of the dial is still off.. but its still an awesome looker.
Watchmeister Posted March 19, 2013 Report Posted March 19, 2013 Well that explains the case. Great watch Guys I'm sorry, I thought it was implied by the 'jk' this is my genuine Grand Prix. I mentioned that the new one indeed looks better but it's still night and day from the real deal Well that explains the gorgeous case. Wear that one well.
MJC Posted March 21, 2013 Report Posted March 21, 2013 Well that explains the case. Great watch Well that explains the gorgeous case. Wear that one well. Thank you sir, it's amazing and i'm loving it indeed
Boston617 Posted March 25, 2013 Report Posted March 25, 2013 I think it's not worth the money for still a lot of inaccurate parts
Guest Messi10 Posted March 25, 2013 Report Posted March 25, 2013 Hi Guys, did you see any differences between these Watches? The first one is from Trusty and the second one from PT. The Dial and Sub-Dial Colors are the same. Or am i blind? Both watches got forged carbon parts http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=241_336&products_id=9062 http://www.puretime.co/product/royal-oak-offshore-ultimate-grand-prix-carbon-finish-v2-forged-carbon-parts/

Ss far as I know only Angus (and Toro??) are getting true carbon cases. They come in very limited supply from a forum member rather than the factories - ergo more than double the price.
Legend Posted March 27, 2013 Author Report Posted March 27, 2013 new updated ti colour plating very nice, Z, very nice.
