I've actually just purchased and received the IWC Ingeneur st laureus. Anyhow, I am looking at purchasing the 3714. I know about the seconds @ 6 nightmare but I just love the look of the watch so much. I am currently comtemplating on whether I should go ahead and purchase it and have it serviced right away. ogladio Posted March 24, 2013 Report Share Posted March 24, 2013 I'd recommend Domi and his 3 jewel mod, i.e service and a couple of operations to reduce friction coefficient. Cost some $$$, but very happy with my 3714 since his work.Was very sceptical myself at first, since there is unclear empirical data to support success of the mod - let me get back in a year on how my 7750 is ticking... Forgot to mention that my 3714 worked well for over a year (although with limited use) - only reason I had service done was that it combined well with a dial swap.
