irate03
this is for a build i'm putting together at the moment, it started out as a finished River dial, I'm not re luming this one, just ageing what's there. Here's it is fitted, I've not polished this case much, I gave it some abuse then buffed it down. (please excuse the dust under the plexi, I'm just checking everything's running fine, I'll be giving it a proper clean. ) Then I moved on to an Athaya RP dial started with this then.........built up in to this cracked indices - crappy iphone pic Here are some 'proper' photographs, not sure if it's too red though now. a quick and dirty iphone lume shot, courtesy of Cornholio's vintage mix and a close up of the cracked indices Edited March 19, 2013 by irate03

irate03
I use the usual stuff, paint, salt, coffee, spray matt and gloss coat lacquer. just a combination of colours and techniques to get different effects.

irate03
a newly painted set of vintage dials, 3 RP and 3 LP . The RP's have been sanded down a little to fit in River's 6154 case. Athaya tall tube wide hands stripped 'egged' and lumed by me. Case reshape and heavily worn by me. These aren't finished builds yet, one of the dials is going in this case and i'll make a faux CP for it when it's done and of course I will do a little photoshoot

irate03
@irat... Realy like your build and work!!! My pam days are all over but i realy like your touch!!! Do still have the 1016 rolli you did? I do but it's in pieces at the moment, I got a Clark plexi but it won't fit, I need to get the bezel turned down on a lath. I started only meaning to reshape the crown to a vintage shape and ended up stripping the watch. now it's in pieces waiting for the bezel to be done. Should have left it as it was but I try to be a perfectionist when I can.

irate03
some new dialZZZZZ latest cream dial update, Southy thick text (not keen on the thick text personally) 39mm dial. mock up small egiziano , dial not resin or lumed, plexi not fitted properly yet and hands and crown not aged yet. BROWN DIALS !!!!! dial as a 3646 i've been wanting to do for a while. I know it's 37mm and it's not a perfect fit in this case but you get the idea. Brown set done
