edgematic1
Hi guys, Many of you know that I was working on a 1:1 datewheel project. It took a long time because I had some issues with a supplier in Asia. Then I went to a Swiss supplier, it also took a long time but we are finally there! The datewheels are finished. Please see the pics for those that are interested. Next thing I will do is ask a watchmaker to install one datewheel, if it fits (it should and I'm 99% sure it will) then I will put them up for sale. Original thread: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/153440-custom-datewheel-for-franken-ap-roo-are-you-interested-how-many-to-produce/ Here are the first pics: with a white background to show the offwhite colour: in my scanner:

edgematic1
In the meantime I tried to fit the datewheel to a A2824, afaik the datewheels of an 2892A2 and a 2824 are the same. Since the LWO283 uses a 2892A2 this makes sense as far as the fitment goes. The date window of the LWO has a width of 2,63mm and heigt of 2mm, the numbers need to fit that window. This is positive as well. I used my caliper to show the dimensions of the window. Then I made a window in autocad and printed in 1:1, I cut out the window (although not good) but it shows that it fits in the window as well. CptTripps
I may be an idiot...but why are you shooting through a baggy in the first few pics? Is there a mag in there?

Maybe to get the effect when the cyclops is installed? Edited April 25, 2013 by jamztio
edgematic1
I may be an idiot...but why are you shooting through a baggy in the first few pics? Is there a mag in there? Yes, it's a cyclops for the LWO movement in there. It's not at the correct height (so incorrect magnification) but you get the idea.

Bravo. (so far...)

HauteHippie
Print quality looks like it really lives up to expectations. This is really going to take the select few ultra-franken-ROOs out there to the next proverbial level.

edgematic1
I will be able to ship the datewheels this weekend - beginning next week. They will get shipped with tracking number. International shipping is $10.60 Price per datewheel is $51 If you want one, be fast, not many pieces were ordered. These should fit the 15300 as well. I tried to install it on the LWO yesterday, in the meanwhile I painted my datewindow as well... The cyclops looks a bit yellowish, it's not the correct cyclops. It looks great when direct light hits the DW.

panerai153
Edge, Are you working on a DW for the A7750 ROO's ? I know that a few months back, there was a good bit of talk about DW's for the A7750's. I would expect that those would sell like hotcakes!! edgematic1
Edge, Are you working on a DW for the A7750 ROO's ? I know that a few months back, there was a good bit of talk about DW's for the A7750's. I would expect that those would sell like hotcakes!! "would" sell, indeed. My last run was based upon members who were gonna buy one as well, a lot of them signed up, I made them and in the end when payment has to be made they go silent. So I don't feel like doing a run anymore to be honest. Forgot to mention that I only have about 6 dw's left for thos interested.
doc0005
I know that feeling. People request things to make when time come to pay they are gone. They are do not realized you invested your time, knowledge and money.
