indywatchguy
Hello Gents, Here are a few quick pics of my 42mm Ceramic Cobalt Blue Rolex Submariner. I own a gen Sub and when I ask people which one is gen they always pics the 42mm! Of course they're just your average person. We all know Rolex never made a 42mm sub or did they ???LOL Well enjoy the pics!
Mike on a bike
Indy interesting, pray tell where did this come from?
indywatchguy
Not from a TD Mike. Awhile back I took a chance on a guy I found online. It took over two months because he has them custom built. The quality is awesome. I'm very happy with it!
indywatchguy
Isnt the new ceramic sub 42mm? As far as I know MD no. The Rolex sub standard has always been 40mm even with the new sub-c. The only time they have ventured larger was the Deep Sea...with mixed reviews by Rolex sub club fan boys who ripped Rolex for caving in to the big watch trend...personally as you know I love 42mm and up size watches, 40mm seems to dainty for me now. Here's a link to the gen. http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNWORN-ROLEX-18K-WHITE-GOLD-CERAMIC-SUBMARINER-BLUE-DIAL-116619-/161018740933?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item257d7700c5
indywatchguy
The extra large case on this one makes all the difference in the weight making it feel more gen like. It's my go to watch when I'm headed for a meeting or any type of public presentation. It sure makes a nice statement but not to overpowering

indywatchguy
Lol yea MD the JLC is 42mm as well.
indywatchguy
Lume should be blue You are correct gmt actually Rolex uses tritech superluminova that has a bluish green hue to it. I thought about having PB(he uses tritech lume) relume it but the dial looks so clean as is I don't wanna chance having any flaws.
indywatchguy
YEa your right about the size, i looked up a few gens and it is 40mm. I was thinking about the new DSSD. Now that i think about it the only watch that was smaller that you sent me to work on was the JLC Navy Diver, or wait is that 42mm as well? lol Speaking of I'll send you a PM shortly...DSSD is coming back for a mod.
