Classic Fusion strap snapped OOB!

Folks,

 

So the next step in the saga of my seized Classic Fusion & Sinn U1. Joshua reshipped them using DHL and they cleared customs and arrived today.

 

Sadly unboxing the watches the top strap on the claasic fusion has snapped in transit. I'm guessing that trying to superglue the end back together won't work.

 

I can't see how to release the strap. Do you need a special tool to release the hublot screws?

 

Anyone recommend a source for aftermarket straps that will fit the CF.

You will need special a special H screwdriver to get that off. You have 4 options for this:

 

• Offshore @ Watch Bitz has a screwdriver for $4.80 + shipping http://watchbitz.com.au/shop/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=238
   
• Puretime has one for $30 (unsure about shipping), but I assume any dealer can get you one http://puretime.co/product/special-screw-driver-for-hublot-big-bang/
   
• Plenty on ebay, usually from someone from Greece
   
• Or use a regular spring bar removal tool - that said though, you will need to be very careful with this, because while the tool may fit, it's not a snug fit like the others, and you may find the tool slipping and causing you more grief

 

As for an aftermarket strap, if you or anyone can find one, i'll be eternally grateful! I've spent a long time looking for one myself

The H screwdriver on Watchbiz is really cheap! Guess I will order mine there too
