al qaeda with cheese Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 I'm sure someone has done this but question.Has anyone taken a super sea-dweller removed the dial and put a tutor snowflake dial and hands on it?
sneed12 Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 Why would you use a super-sea-dweller case? It's entirely wrong for the project. Most people who build tudor snowflakes use the 1680 or 5513 cases as a starting point.
Nanuq Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 Wouldn't that make a Super Snow-Dweller? 1
Ephry73 Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 I have. Looked interesting. Sadly no pictures. And no, the Pelagos as the one I built didn't look exactly the same. I even tried a 7928 dial. I used a rafflestime yellow snowflake(yellow snow I know I know)
al qaeda with cheese Posted October 9, 2013 Author Report Posted October 9, 2013 I want a sapphire crystal, no cyclopse, uni direction bezel. I don't want it to look like a older snowflake I want it to be unique and new.

aeromatic Posted October 10, 2013 Report Posted October 10, 2013 I love gen 1-1 builds but i am warming up to custom or retro using classic designs i bend both ways i can appreciate an exact franken of a gen and also custom, fantasy !!! you go for it its your watch so dont let anyone put you off ! i thought about the sea dweller as a custom build flake and think it would look super i have a 6538 project in the planning stage which will have classic vintage looks with unique custom features ! i think that the launch of the black bay has opened up the door to custom if tudor can do it by putting snowflake hands on a big crown case then why cant we do it right? Lets see some member fantasy builds here is my fantasy black bay to start the ball rollin !!
