First Rep. CrPO from Silix

It's been 3 weeks now since I recieved my desired Omega Rep. Good and swift service by Silix (michelle) paypal payment and DHL shipment to Holland via UK. Very satisfied with look and feel.

Had some trouble with turning the bezelring at first but since the excess glue came out between the ring and the case the ring turns very smoothly.

One disappointment, the markings on the ceramic bezelring are fafing rapidly, (i'm aware of the dedicated thread) so I contacted the dealer and agreed on $30,– for a new insert wich I will replace myself and I will try to fix it with with a transparent coating to prevent wear.

I guess it fits but so hard to find and way to expensive. I just swapped it and this time I made the mod with matt clear coat to prevent it from fading..hope it lasts :)

Wow I like it :) I'm thinking of getting the cheaper Omega SeaMaster Planet Ocean (orange bezel one) from Silix real soon. Did you get it from Silix-prime.so? I hope to get it from there, and hopefully have a good experience like you! (It'll be my first rep)

KingAce, Silix Prime indeed, on the edge of loosing it's TD status I beleive but communication is flawless, very helpfull.

Hope you'll find a nice orange PO.

Just ordered the orange bezel PO last night from Silix, I have to say good communication. And the watch looks great from the QC pictures that were sent to me. I can't wait ^^

Losing TD status, why?

I just swapped the bezel of mine some days ago. Same with your watch the pearl is about 1mm or half over the bezel which was not the case with the first batch. Easy fix though ;) Ps. Really recommend the clear coat mod but use matt clear code instead of shiny.

How is the movement in yours, jomega?

What I particularly want you to check:

1. Is the winding smooth?

2. Pull the crown in the last, time setting position. Now turn the crown for some time. Do you notice any roughness, or is the turning smooth?

3. Does the rotor rattle when you shake the watch up and down?

1. Winding is smooth, although it keeps winding while screwing tha crown tight. Never had that with a winding watch. Not a problem but have te be aware there's allways 5/6 more turns to come.

2. Time setting is smooth, no resistance or rough parts. A very little amount of play when turning from one direction to the other.

3. Rotor is solid, just the sound of it spinning, now play here.

The wathc is solid and good. Misses approximately 10 seconds in 24 hrs but that's acceptable to me. I might take some time soon to adjust it.

Very happy, only bezel fading is a disappointment. New ring coming soon together with new rubber strap! Both from Silix.

Actually, at least 8 of my watches do this, altough most of them are Omega reps/homages, and one cheap Rolex rep.

Looks great.

As for the winding while screwing into locking position: it shouldn't hurt anything.

....maybe pull the stem and make certain the overall length of the stem/crown is 19.2mm...or is it 19.4 ??
