dutch937
I received my 5002 Big Pilot 2 days ago from Perfect Clones. A complete positive experience! The only negative was the lack of QC pics before being sent. But, as i i have said in a previous post, i'm not so sure i buy into the whole QC scenario anyway and based on the minimal investment, i will take my chances. The watch itself looks great! I'm very happy with the way the movement is working, the crown functions perfectly and the comparison to the gen gets an A+ in my eyes. I will wait about a month and take it to my guy for a "preventative" service. Other than that, the only thing that could get modded is the strap, but if it loosens up a bit, i will just leave it as is. Happy customer! Enjoy the pics. Unfortunately, i waited for darkness to begin, so not the greatest light for good exposure.
higginsd
This is one of the best reps on the market and also one of my most liked (and worn) watches! Tell your guy to perform the "Full-PR-mod" while doing the service. And: change the strap, it is crap, sorry. Look at this thread and contact Jack, he has the best straps for BP: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/161079-iwc-5002-big-pilot-alligator-strap-source/
dutch937
I read that three and those straps look nice. I will contact him for sure. My watch guy is just a watchmaker/repair guy that knows his [censored] and isn't against working on rep's, but i doubt he (nor i) know what a "full-PR-mod" is?? higginsd
The "Full-PR-mod": look at the PR hand - it is pointing to the number "7". That's not correct. With a working PR like in the gen, after a short time and some windings of the movement the PR will be wound up full and showing full. Which is on the ruler between "DAYS" and "7". Have a look at the attached pic, there you can see what i mean. To correct this, your guy only has to move the PR hand carefully towards full. No problem, I did this myself for my 5002 and I'm no watchmaker. Edited October 30, 2013 by higginsd
