raberto1 Posted December 24, 2013 Report Posted December 24, 2013 i have this watch which i posted before . i thought of just getting rid of it as i have no idea about watches or there repair but i looked about for some information on the net and thought what the heck in for a penny in for a pound and gave it a go myself . i re-fitted the small seconds hand and stopped the hands obstructing each other (adjusted with a needle) . i managed to get the chrono working also and it is resetting to zero on both dials . i also replaced the crystal . i am glad i gave this a go as i did not no if i had a steady enough hand to finish what i started . but thankfully i tried and did not have any problems . here is my effort . merry christmas to all

ceejay Posted December 25, 2013 Report Posted December 25, 2013 Congratulations, a worthy save there! A little bit of information regarding the INCABLOC. Did you know that INCABLOC specified that all watches supplied at this time (70's?) that used the INCABLOC shock system HAD to have INCABLOC written on the dial as you see here? I believe it was the reason why some manufacturers like Rolex used a different shock system called KIF etc so they didn't have to have INCABLOC written on their dials. Any idea what the movement is in this? Cheers.
