gunzrus
I'm in need of some expert help and or advice. I acquired a vintage Rolex 6426 case(34mm) with no back or bezel. It is in good shape. Made a stainless bezel and fitted a new tropic 12 crystal. Now I need a movement and case back. I'm not really try it restore it, but build a nice dress piece. I would like to keep it manual wind if possible but don't know what movement to use. Date or not OK. Does ETA offer such a movement? Will an automatic movement fit this case? If so which ??? If I can't locate a back I can make one. Does anyone know the thread specs for the case? Any help would be greatly appreciated !!! Thanks in advance!!!! mymanmatt
Don't know about the case back, but you can remove the rotor assy on a 2824 eta and have a manual wind.
freddy333
Why not source a 1215, which is a manual, dated movement & correct for your case? They are not too expensive ($400-$500+) & pop up from time to time. Check ebay & some of the gen sites
gunzrus
Thanks for the info! I didn't realize those gen movements were still around or obtainable. Thanks for taking the time to reply! I'll look for one
