Navitimer ss strap clasp question

Hi all

This is a breitling navitimer rep with a screw together 7 link bracelet

I am having a real hard time opening the clasp ; is it supposed to be that small a gap ? There is no way I get could my finger tip anywhere near the buckle to open it ; so I have to pull it open from the sides ..

I know it's a bit garbled what I wrote but I hope it makes some sense :-)

Probably compared to gen it is not supposed to be so small a gap. If it makes you feel better my Navi World bracelet is the same. Very tight getting my finger in there to open the clasp.

Thanks for replying .. I cannot get my finger in there at all !!!! Discovered another problem with the bracelet - see pic.

It's only a quartz rep - good enough for me at the moment as I will get the new navitimer rep that's supposed to be coming in a few months

This may seem obvious to many but on the chance you don't know here is a suggestion.  On a Rolex you pull the clasp open from under the clasp lock,  However Breitlings are different.  Simply catch your finger nail under the end opposite the clasp lock and pull up.  This will usually unlatch it from the other end.  Took me a while to figure this out too many years ago on gens.

That's an amazing tip --- it works perfect on the breitling I am wearing today ... I can't believe I never tried that !!! I always though you open from same end as clasp !!!! Made my day - thank you. !!!
