Lartamia Posted March 16, 2014 Report Posted March 16, 2014 Hi geeks Today I want to show you my newest 16710 Franken I just finished. The specs: - BK's 16570 with gen ETA for case and movement - Gen Glas, der Ref. 16610 (25-295-C) - Gen Insert (Ref. 315-16760-7) - 2.35 mm Dichtungsring (Clarks) - TC Bezel-Assembly der 16610 - GMT Click Spring, z.B. von Clarks - Gen Krone, (Ref. 24-603-0) - Gen Tube (Ref. 24-5330) At the beginning I plant to use the dial of the latest GMT-Master II from the Noob-Factory. But I was lucky to source a gen Dial in very good condition And now to the pics. Enjoy And: Yes I know, because of the 'only-Swiss-Dial' the case should have drilled lugholes, but I don't care. As And I love black-holes, too
dbane883 Posted March 16, 2014 Report Posted March 16, 2014 How did you attach the gen dial to the ETA movement? (I'm not sure I want to know the answer.)
Lartamia Posted March 16, 2014 Author Report Posted March 16, 2014 Great build!! which GMT hand did you use? The GMT hand I sourced here: http://goo.gl/HoRl8s

sneed12 Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 Is the dial now an amputee? Clipping the dial feet is the only way to install a Rolex movement designed for a 3035 or 3135 on an ETA. One of the feet is right above the balance wheel, so even if you drilled the mainplate for new feet it would not work. (I suppose you could drill a new hole for one of the feet, and only clip the other one halfway or something, but that seems like more trouble than it is worth).
live1 Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 is the dial worthless after clipping.im thinking of doing the same on a 116610 gen dial
