Rockwell Posted April 10, 2014 Report Posted April 10, 2014 Some people call it Rolex Yacht Master Prototype, Cosmograph Daytona, Yachtmaster Daytona, etc... Has anyone ever replicated this? or at least replicated a replacement dial for the Daytona? Any feedbacks, info is appreciated. Thank you.
DuDro Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 Did Rolex produce a special movement for the prototype or did they just make changes to the dial?
Rockwell Posted April 11, 2014 Author Report Posted April 11, 2014 Not sure. But i think its only the dial. Do correct me if im wrong. Would love to learn as well. Here's some reading stuff i found online : http://rolexblog.blogspot.com/2009/10/yachtmaster-origins-history.html
mcotter Posted April 13, 2014 Report Posted April 13, 2014 Rockwell, I too think that's a way cool cosmo. I've checked w/ a dial maker that I've used successfully & he can do them. The hitch is that a screen has to be made for the project. I believe the screen is $350 & the printing on my dial is about a $100...I'd consider sharing the screen cost & we'd own it..Your thoughts, mcotter@skbk.com
alt.watch.obsessive Posted April 14, 2014 Report Posted April 14, 2014 Did Rolex produce a special movement for the prototype or did they just make changes to the dial? This is rolex. Changes to the dial
Rockwell Posted April 22, 2014 Author Report Posted April 22, 2014 Can the measurements for the dial be available online?
