It's a V4 on a 6497-2 movement most obvious parts are the SN shape. MM screw, and SN screws, look at the set lever screw it is blue on the gen it is silver in color

Marlin is the Man! It's a good thing we have guys like him on this board, to verify subtle variations on really good reps.

 

As far as eBay goes, people there are more concerned about a seller's rating than on the authenticity of the merchandise.  If the seller has a rating close to 100, they just assume he must be legit, because all those other buyers would have said something.  Big mistake.

 

Also, this is a real niche hobby, so tons of folks out there do not realize the sophistication of the modern rep.
