Mainly beacuse I dont trust the look of the gold. The first 3 pics are GEN. The following are the REP. All pics show differnt lighting conditions. mcotter Posted April 20, 2014 Report Share Posted April 20, 2014 I agree w/ Freddy, the coloration looks fine. the big gripe w/plated SS watches is the durability of the plating. most often the plating w/ wear on the parts that have the most hand contact & leave telltale SS showing. the plating can be redone of course following dissasembly & plated by a talented hand.Sometime ago I had a 40's Rolex tonneau dress watch replanted very successfully, so it can be done!
