Removal of bezel screws(plugs?) on a Rolexfinder MBW

Recommended Posts

Good Morning Gent,

Just managed to bag a nice 2010 Rolexfinder MBW Jumbo Royal Oak. Has anyone ever managed to remove the screw 'plugs' from the bezel in order to reduce their thickness in essence creating a more recessed Gen look. I'm calling them plugs as I'm pretty sure the MBW didn't have the Gen barrel screw construction but i may be wrong

Any info greatly appreciated

Cheers DH

Rolexfinder used to replace the original screws with polished SS ones, so I guess they can be removed...You can easily damage them so be careful...

That's a nice catch, I've got a black dial one, and love it. I think it is a bit more thick than the gen, and has got a closed caseback but definitely a quality rep...

Hi Prof, yep I've been after one for a while and its a black dialed one too. I'm going to re-lume it using a creamier colour including the gap in the AP logo. Having looked at the history of the Royal Oak if you somehow replaced the numbers on the dial for printed stick markers it would end up being  a close rep to a series C 5402.
